Surchi Contracting Company, established in 1980 in Baghdad, Iraq, is a first-class construction company accredited by the Iraqi Contractor’s Federation and the Ministry of Planning. With over $150 million in executed projects, we have built a strong reputation for delivering civil, water treatment, and electricity projects on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of client satisfaction.

Originally focused on residential and government buildings, we have since expanded our expertise to include specialized water treatment, supply, and electricity projects. Our long-standing partnerships with the Iraqi Government, including the Ministries of Construction and Housing, Electricity, and Water Resources, reflect our dedication to meeting our clients' needs and supporting Iraq’s infrastructure development for over 43 years

Surchi Contracting Company was founded 43 years ago based on the core values of teamwork, integrity, and commitment. Today, our people uphold its founder’s vision to provide clients with valuable services, build community partnerships, and deliver essential resources such as clean water, schools, workplaces, hospitals, housing, and social centers.

After working in the family construction business for several years in Iraq and achieving his Civil Engineering degree in 1978 at Salford University, United Kingdom, he established this firm with a prime focus on Water Supply and Building Infrastructure Projects, mainly within the public sector.

Chairman of Surchi Contracting Company, Jawhar, is responsible for formulating future business strategies, negotiating and securing projects, and ensuring the company maintains progress and development in all areas.
